Each personal history on this planet is in some way a microcosm of the total history of the whole human species. Moreover, every such microcosm, if carefully studied, brings to the observer another perspective of the total history of which it is a part. With this notion in mind we will concern ourselves with the brutalization and alienation of a young, kind, wide-eyed, innocent, intelligent, caring and loving human being. A person, who in the face of an inevitable and maliciously personalized hell not of her doing in the course of her youth, nevertheless remained immensely sane throughout her life—although bitter at the thought that our society was not yet matured enough to prevent such maliciousness. I speak of an individual true to her ideal of not thinking or behaving in accord with the barbarian model continuously forced upon her. A young child and teenager, who truly believed in the absoluteness of caring human love within a life triggered by love, for love and in love—although rejected and treated as a secret and unwanted child. This work therefore deals with love and appreciation of life, especially when accompanied with sanity and kindness, despite and in spite of the callousness and general apathy so rampant in this victim's family—which is in fact a tiny aberrant sub-segment of a rather civilized Canadian society. I speak of a sample of an attitude of self-righteousness that initially took root and burgeoned in a southwest village of the Manitoba province in Canada. A sample, theless and sadly, of a still increasing attitude of self-righteousness found nearly everywhere throughout human societies and history regardless of their emotive backwardness or self-proclaimed advanced social mores and concepts. It is here expressed in the context of everyday life in the non-flamboyant ways of ordinary people. Our approach in this type of novelized biography was to display many of the trials and tribulations, a child no one wanted and resented, kept in ignorance of her situation, while coerced to suffer physically, socially and psychologically—although most of us indeed wish and insist in living our life in a reasonable context of security, sanity and a good share of the bliss that should come with it, if we possess an attitude of joy and open-mindedness. This child, sadly, was not permitted to do so. This is, therefore, a brief description of the early life of a tot, young girl and eventually a teenager, who fought against severe attacks and callous rejections, often demonstrated in numerous and various attempted murders of her mind, self-worth, intellectual stances and above all of her sanity.Yet, the simple, natural and normal ability of a child to self-actualize is in some circles crushed by exquisite acts of coarse and at times sophisticated barbarism, brutal in all its aspects, which nearly always defies explanations. Helen has been a victim of such brutality. Her story is that of a woman who throughout her early life, randomly, chaotically and according to circumstances played the role of a child, child-woman, woman-child and a woman. It was her way of first dealing with the harm done to her in order to keep her inner sanctum pure and untouched. This is a story showing society's total insensitivity toward a superb human being. One of many without a doubt. A person who, despite severe emotional and physical pains, has nevertheless remained immensely conscious and stupendously in contact with her inner-self. This is one story of two lives merged into one—the story of Helen Annette … and Dolores Annette … .
